Technical Architecture Overview
The Media Registry is a modern, enterprise-grade application designed to organize, verify, and manage large-scale media collections. As part of the Nexartis Voyager Suite, it leverages the Cubi Cube framework for application development and the Helix Platform for edge computing and distributed data storage.
Key Components
- Cubi Cube Framework: Provides the foundation for the user interface and application logic for managing media, creators, and metadata.
- Helix Edge Computing: Hosts the application and handles API requests at the edge for low-latency access worldwide.
- Distributed Data Store: Enterprise-grade distributed storage for entity records, metadata, and indexes with high availability.
- Media Processing Engine: Advanced tools for ingesting, processing, and normalizing video files and metadata.
- DID System: Assigns Decentralized Identifiers to all entities, enabling cryptographic verification and tamper-evident records.
Data Flow
- Videos and metadata are ingested from various sources and directories.
- Processing scripts extract technical metadata, generate content hashes, and create DID documents.
- All records are stored in the Helix Distributed Data Store, organized by entity type and indexed for efficient lookup.
- The web application provides tools for browsing, searching, and managing entities and relationships.
- All entity records are cryptographically signed and verifiable.
Security & Verification
- Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs): Every entity is assigned a unique DID,
following the
did:ocmeregistry.commethod. - Cryptographic Signing: All DID documents are signed using RSA keypairs, ensuring authenticity and integrity.
- Tamper-Evident Records: Any unauthorized changes to entity data can be detected via signature verification.
- Relationship Verification: Links between content, creators, and media are cryptographically validated.
Planned Extensions
- Integration with Home Base for enhanced media processing and content management.
- Advanced data storage architecture for improved querying and analytics capabilities.
- Expanded API endpoints for programmatic access and third-party integrations.
- Enhanced integration with Moon Base and Receiver for end-to-end media workflow.
- Advanced search, reporting, and analytics features powered by the Helix Platform.
